With the grace & blessings of Lord Shri Ram, the Ramlila Prachar Samiti was formed on the Independence Day of 1982 by Late Shri Radheshyam Gupta, Late Shri Purshottamdas Moda, Late Shri Atmaram Agarwal, Shri Dayaram Bhoot, Shri Satyanarayan Gupta & Shri Sitaram Gupta.

The first Ramlila was performed in Navratri of 1982 at Thakur Laxmi Singh Compound, Malad (W) & was liked & applauded by all. After some years Ramlila was shifted to Shivaji Raje Sports Ground, Jakaria Road, Malad (W). Till today Ramlila is performed at this place every year.

The group of Shri Rajesh Rastogi (Ram Manas Manch) which performed first Ramlila in 1982, till today the same group is performing Ramlila. The performance of Malad Ramlila is appreciated by everyone. The giant & the beautiful stage of Malad Ramlila is one of the main attraction.

Today Ramlila organized by Shri Ramlila Prachar Samiti Malad has become a mild stone not only in Mumbai but all over Maharashtra. The atmosphere of Malad is completely charged up with Ram Naam during the 10 days of Ramlila festival. Today this ground is known everywhere as Ramlila ground & because of huge gathering of people from all segment of society is such that this ground also seems to be smaller.

The efforts of all the committee members, well wishers & whole heartedly support of the devotional people of Malad, Malad Ramlila have achieved a great success.
Shri Ramlila Prachar Samiti also distributes Puri Bhaji & Vada Pav to the Ganesh devotees at Marve Road, Malad on every Ganesh Visharjan.
